STEP 4: SEARCH FOR SOLUTION Discussion : 1. Pay attention to your boundaries. Notice if someone consistently gets too close and create distance. Awareness of physical boundaries, as well as your surroundings, can head off an unwanted encounter before it happens. 2. Keep the discussion about another person’s intent out of it when addressing unwanted or uninvited communication or contact. That way, you derail any unnecessary or distracting disagreement about feelings, judgments, or assumptions. Because the person's intent is not the issue, the impact of the person's behaviour on you is the important point. 3. State the behaviour you expect going forward. 4. Reiterate your agreement about behaviour and communication if, in the future, it’s forgotten or disrespected. 5. Take the issue to HR if the behaviour doesn’t change per your repeated request. Hello and good day everyone, We are diploma year 1 students from University Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Our group name is ACACIA- is based on a flower name, the reason we choose acacia is because the Acacia flower meaning can be derived from the historic era as a symbol of regeneration, perseverance, and integrity all around the globe. This blog is mainly for our Current Issues Discovery (CID) project in the UHS1022 Soft Skills Subject. The issue that we are going to cover in this blog is "Sexual Harassment". Sexual harassment is a problem that is universally faced by workers all over the world. However, there is a lack of such studies in developing countries in general and Malaysia in particular. Nevertheless, reports in Malaysian newspapers and magazines indicate that female Malaysian employees are frequently subjected to sexual harassment behaviours by their male colleagues.
